Reasons to Be Happy, Starring Jenna Fischer and Josh Hamilton, Opens Off-Broadway

The world premiere of Neil LaBute’s Reasons to Be Happy officially opens off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on June 11. The MCC Theater production stars Jenna Fischer, Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller and runs through June 29.

A follow-up to LaBute’s award-winning play Reasons to Be Pretty. Happy picks up on ex-couple Steph and Greg, who contemplate giving their relationship one more try. The catch is that Steph is newly married to someone else, and Greg is involved in a relationship with Steph’s best friend Carly (who herself is still in the eye of her jealous ex-husband Kent).

Directed by LaBute, Happy features set design by Neil Patel, costume design by Sarah Holden, lighting design by Ben Stanton and sound design by Robert Kaplowitz.
